Suit Jacket & Blazer Quality Guide
An Introduction
We start with cloth from the world’s leading mills and pair it with the same level of materials throughout—natural canvas, quality linings, and solid trims. Each jacket is cut and built with care so it sits clean on the body and keeps its shape over time.
Hand-Crafted Canvassing
Inside the jacket, we build it with a full canvas by hand. No fusing in the front. The canvas gives the chest its shape and keeps the structure stable, while still allowing the jacket to move naturally. The lapel rolls softly instead of sitting flat. After some wear, it begins to settle to the body, which is why the fit feels more natural over time.

Natural Buttons
Many colored buttons you see are plastic. We don’t use them. Ours are horn, shell, or corozo. Each one has its own grain, so the look isn’t uniform. They feel solid, fasten cleanly, and stand up to regular wear. Over time they pick up a bit of character, which suits the jacket.
Pick Stitching
Along the lapel and edges, there’s a fine line of small stitches. They hold the layers in place and keep the edge neat. It’s a quiet detail, but it sharpens the finish and helps the jacket keep its line.

Bemberg Lining
Inside, we use Bemberg for the lining. It’s smooth to the touch and lets the jacket slip on without resistance. It doesn’t trap heat the way standard linings can, and it keeps its feel after regular wear.
Functional Buttonholes
The sleeve buttonholes open and close. Each one is cut and stitched so the buttons work, not just sit in place. This detail is usually found on tailored pieces, rather than standard ready-made jackets.

What Quality Means to Us
A jacket should do more than fit. It should lift your look and carry itself well. This guide shows what sets our jackets apart.
We work with cloth from established mills and keep the same standard for everything inside the jacket—canvas, lining, and small parts are all chosen with care.
Good fabric is only the starting point. The cut and the way the jacket is built matter just as much. Shape, balance, and handling decide how it holds up with wear.
In the end, it comes down to material, build, and finish. When these are right, the jacket keeps its line and wears well.
Gomon makes more than jackets—suits, trousers, shirts, and more, all made to last, well cut, and shaped to fit the way our customers expect.
